Overview

Patients are living longer, often with multiple comorbidities, while also retaining their natural teeth for longer. This has led to an increased demand for integrated oral healthcare, placing greater pressure on clinicians to manage complex cases and patient expectations. As a result, many clinicians find themselves in stressful situations, balancing the need for optimal treatment outcomes with rising patient demands. Effective treatment planning is key to achieving successful patient outcomes while minimising the risk of legal complications.

This series of modules will equip you with the knowledge and strategies to make sound clinical decisions, improve communication, obtain informed consent, and document cases effectively—helping you avoid common pitfalls that can lead to litigation. Through real-case discussions and expert insights, you’ll gain the confidence to navigate complex cases with greater security and professionalism.
