UK Dental Practice Welcomes Pakistani Dentist, Dr. Masood Sandhu, Following His Success at College of Medicine and Dentistry (CoMD)

From Lahore, Pakistan to Tiverton, Devon, Dr. Masood Sandhu's journey is an inspiration for international dental professionals aiming to practise in the UK.

Dr. Sandhu, who graduated from Lahore Medical and Dental College in Pakistan, has recently become an associate dentist in Tiverton, Devon, thanks to a successful educational experience at the College of Medicine and Dentistry (CoMD) in the UK.

Our unique programme, Master's in Advanced General Dental Practice , played a key part in Dr. Sandhu's success. The course provides both an MSc in dentistry and thorough preparation for the Overseas Registration Examination (ORE) run by the General Dental Council.

"I chose the CoMD for its Level 7 Master's programme from a top-rated UK university, and most importantly, the crucial preparation for the ORE," explained Dr. Sandhu. His efforts paid off when he passed the ORE in April 2022.

...he's completing his foundation training and considering further specialisation in implantology or restorative dentistry. His wife, also a dentist, is currently studying for her ORE, clearly following her husband's successful path.

Dr. Sandhu is now settling into life in Tiverton, where he's completing his foundation training and considering further specialisation in implantology or restorative dentistry. His wife, also a dentist, is currently studying for her ORE, clearly following her husband's successful path.

"The MSc in Advanced General Dental Practice gives you a Master's degree and prepares you to qualify to practise in the UK. The comprehensive syllabus covers many elements, so you don't need to study them separately," said Dr. Sandhu, endorsing the programme that significantly helped his professional transition to the UK.

Dr. Sandhu's success is inspiring his colleagues, who are thinking about following the same route. His ambition includes giving back to the CoMD, possibly in a teaching role, to help others achieve what he has.
