Do you have specific questions?
Edentulism becomes increasingly common with age, affecting up to 29% of the population in the United Kingdom — many of whom struggle with wearing dentures. While dental implants have grown in popularity as a replacement option, they are not suitable for everyone and understanding why complete dentures fail remains crucial for improving patient outcomes.
In this comprehensive one-day course, you’ll gain a deep understanding of the core principles of denture construction, including the effective use of copy dentures. Through a structured, step-by-step approach, you’ll learn the key techniques and get hands-on experience in the copy denture method — equipping you with the skills to deliver more comfortable and functional dentures for your patients.
This course will cover the theoretical foundations of denture construction, guiding you through a systematic assessment process — from patient history and clinical examination to evaluating previous dentures. You will also explore the essential steps for creating successful dentures and learn how to manage common denture-related issues effectively.
The hands-on workshop will give you valuable tips on constructing copy dentures and include a practical exercise where you will create a copy denture step-by-step. This interactive session will help you build confidence in delivering more comfortable and functional dentures for your patients.
